Tryp Capitol- Madrid
Hello,
I am considering booking this hotel for 3 nights in late summer. Can anyone tell me what they thought of the service, location & noise level? I have researched this hotel on line, but I would prefer to hear some opinions before I actually book. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks

I stayed at the Tryp Rex on Gran Via in Madrid...part of the same chain. So I can only comment that the hotel I stayed at was very nice, modern with excellent facilities, though the location was quite busy. So hopefully, another hotel in the chain will be as nice...

Thank you for your reply!
Any info helps. I was concerned about the noise too. I guess it is to be expected with such a central location...
DC

D2C, I am booked into the Tryp Capitol for March through Bancotel. However, Maribel who is extremely knowledgeable about Madrid and the rest of Spain recommends the Hotel Suecia and the Opera Hotel, which is a Best Western property onstead of the Tryp Capitol. Unfortunately, during my time period, neither the Hotel Suecia or Opera Hotel have availability (well, as of today, they don't).

Try to avoid the Tryp chain, very noisy, below average service. This is especially true in Madrid!Go for the Opera, still 3 star but much better quality, service and location-quieter, cleaner and safer than the Capitol.Enjoy the singing waiters!
