Trying to decide between La Fenice & Villa Franca in Positano, for 3 nts. in late Aug.

We have narrowed it down to either La Fenice or Villa Franca for our 3 nights in Positano in late August. Villa Franca is a little bit more than we wanted to spend, so we've been looking at La Fenice, but I am concerned that it looks like it is not air conditioned. Can anyone who has stayed there confirm this? I think in late August we would need air conditioning. Thoughts/suggestions? We were hoping to find someplace with a pool and air conditioning for under 300,000 lire/$150 per night for a double. If neither of these work, we may have to look at staying in Sorrento instead...

Lisa, Before you decide on anything, check room availability at these hotels. A friend of mine was just closed out of Villa Franca for early September!

I would recommend Albergo California! I was there in June and paid about $100 for a double. I advise everyone to stay there.
