Hotel Florence is nice and located right at the ferry docks. Be sure to ask about AC because some rooms do not have it. I have also stayed at Hotel Centrale. It is nice and all rooms have AC. But, it is up 86 steps. It sounds worse than it is. The steps are close together. I had no trouble carrying my luggage up....and I am no spring chicken!

I second Hotel Florence. We stayed there and found it completely charming and a great price. We were expecting it to be a little outdated since the price was so good, but lo and behold, the hotel is as nice as it's website. I think it is the best value in Bellagio. It has a fabulous location on the waterfront. The hotel also has a great restaurant with a beautiful trellis that is right on the water as well. The lobby was so unique and well furnished. Our room was also very charming. Yes, make sure you ask for an air conditioned room. We walked up and down the Bellagio waterfront and noticed a lot of the interiors of the hotels were outdated, but the exterior was beautiful.

Just saw your thread - and we loved the Grand Imperiale Hotel - just a ferry stop up from the fabled Villa d'este at Malstasio (sp).
