Trocadero - Paris
We have reservations for the first week of May at "Le Parc Trocadero". Any suggestions for area restaurants or sights?

anyone?

Other than the Trocadero steps and the Eiffel Tower, I don't think of the area as particulaly special for sights. And I think the area is sort of poor for restaurants. Yet, that doesn't matter. The metro is easy. Follow suggestions for any places in Paris -- it's easy to get around.

A simple google map search yields these restaurants within walking distance, all of them recognizable names:
La Table de Joel Robuchon - 16, Avenue Bugeaud 75016 Lina's Sandwiches - 66, Avenue Victor Hugo 75016 Bistro Romain Victor Hugo - 6, Place Victor Hugo 75116 Le Café de l'Homme - Square du Trocadéro 75116 Citrus Etoile - 6, Rue Arsène Houssaye 75008 Noura - 27, Avenue Marceau 75116 The hotel is situated between Trocadero and V.Hugo metro stops - I know there are a couple of posters (BTilke being one) who like the 16th. The area contains the Arc de Triomphe, and the Musee de Vin is a fun stop. You can also visit the contemporary art gallery at Palais de Tokyo, and a good walk will take you to Musee Marmottan. |
We had a birthday dinner last summer on the terrace of the Cafe L'Homme and it was fabulous -- both the food and the view sitting at the feet of the Eiffel Tower! If the weather does not permit sitting on the terrace, a window seat would almost be as wonderful!
Enjoy! joy/luvparee |
Don't forget the Palais de Chaillot, with it's new museum in addition to the de l'homme and Marine museums.
