Trip to visit Ireland in late November - is the timing ok?

Hi,

I'm planning a trip to Ireland (my first!) in the last week of November, most likely for a week. But before I finalize it, I am looking to get suggestions if this is a reasonable time to visit Ireland.

I know the weather can be variable throughout the year and even throughout a single day, it seems like. So i'm prepared for that. But if most of the days are expected to be suboptimal, then maybe I'll move my visit to a later time.

Part of the draw to Ireland is definitely the beautiful green scenery - so I don't want to go at a time when either all the leaves have fallen off or things are pretty grey and brown.

If I go in late November, what sites would I be missing?

Ireland doesn't get that cold - it has a very temperate (and misty) climate due to the Gulf Stream. It doesn't get brown and crunchy in the winter the way colder climates do - but stays green essentially year round.

stays green - yes. But the daylight to see it will be short. At the end of Nov sunrise will be about 8:30AM and sunset approx 4PM.

Nothing 'wrong' w/ November, but if is mainly scenery you want - there are better times for sure.

I would still bring a jacket. It can be cold in Ireland, especially on the coast and the wind in blowing (invariably it will be).

We were thrilled to have our windproof/waterproof down coats with us in October.

Not quite sure what it will be like, but I'm doing it! Sick of holidays with all the relatives and in-laws and all that nonsense, being torn between states. It would have to be pretty darn terrible to turn me off.

But we'll probably go back again. Focusing mainly on Dublin this trip.

I know that's not incrediably helpful, but didn't want you to feel alone.
