Trip to spain for about a month

We will be taking a 4 week trip to Spain, starting mid Sept....Barcelona 6 nights, Granada 3, Malaga 5, Marrakesh 5, Seville 7 and Madrid 5. Day trips planned to Montserrate, Girona, Nerja, Ronda, Cordoba, Jerez, Toledo and Segovia. Will do a cooking class or 2, wine & olive oil sites also.

Please feel free to let me know what you think about the schedule, trips or any other interesting tid bits you would like to include. Always open to suggestions and new ideas.

Thank you in advance.

Malaga - Marrakech - Sevilla will be by plane for sure. But wha about the other legs: plane, train, bus?

The day trips will be by car or train....car where we want flexibility, train for a direct route.

Why not fly directly from Barcelona to Marrkech and then to Malaga and continue by train and bus to Granada - Ronda - Jerez - Sevilla - Cordoba - Madrid?

Should be great! In general, I like your timing. Some tweaks for your consideration:

· I think Cordoba and Toledo are each better visited with at least an overnight, or even better: two nights (each).

· Montserrate, Girona, Ronda, and Segovia are each manageable as day trips, I’m very glad I spent a night in each … but I don’t mind one-night stays as much as many Fodorites.

· The most glaring “miss” I see in your plan is Salamanca, which easily has enough to keep one happily busy for 2 or 3 nights.

· Much as I loved Marrakesh (and I loved it!), you might consider deferring it until you can spend some time in Morocco’s other gems.

BTW, I count 31 nights (not counting any in transit) – maybe you meant a month-long trip rather than a 4-week one? If not, how am I miscounting?

The most scenic way to approach Salamanca goes from Sevilla via Merida (a real gem!) and Caceres, with a visit of Avila on the way from Salamanca to Madrid.
