Trip to Rome - Hop on/Hop off busses

Next April I will be going to Rome, Florence, Venice and Paris. My question is are there hop on/hop off busses in Rome? I am familiar with the ones in Paris and London. Thanks!

Sort of. City bus route 110 hits 40 sites across town, and includes commentary. One ticket lets you jump off and on at will.

Yes as it was said the 110 is good. Its a good way to get your bearings and some sites are just not worth walking here and there to see. You know the kind of thing you want to see but basically its a drive by. The Bus that does the Appian Way (8-9e) is a great value as well. Sunday is the best day for it take a picnic lunch and hop off where ever you want no cars allowed that day. Most folks don't realize that the Appian Way is almost 11 miles long, again not all of it worth hiking along.

Yes--there is a hop-on hop off bus of Rome and we are going to Rome tomorrow and are booked to ride it! Just google the term " hop on hop off Rome " and you will see some Viator links to lots of information, including the route and stops along the way. Kim, in Lake Como, Italy

Madison - There are several Hop-on/ Hop-off tours of Rome - ATAC 110, CSR, Ciao Roma, Archeo tours ...

You can find details here:

http://www.romeguide.it/110_city_tour_ing.htm

http://www.romecitytours.com/

http://www.romecity.it/Archeobus.htm

http://www.romeguide.it/TROLLEY/Troll.htm

http://www.romeguide.it/roma_trolley_express.htm

http://www.romeguide.it/TROLLEY/promenade.htm

These tours get mixed reviews.

Personally I prefer a one- or 3-day tourist pass - better value IMO.

Hope this helps ...

Hi

The Archeobus may be useful too, particularly for the catacombs - http://www.romeguide.it/archeobus_ing.htm. The 110 has its terminus at the bus depot next to the Termini (hope all these "Termi" aren't confusing!)

Ciao
