trip to rome
help-my husband just one a trip to rome-date is april 10-15-would like to spend 2 extra days in another location-any suggestions and what mode of transportation is best plus how long will commute be?
|
Florence is a perfect two day excursion from Rome. Take the Euro Star train and it is about 90 minutes. Sightseeing and shopping is fantistic. Congradulations and have a great trip.

Hi
Well, I can't help you much when it comes to anoter location. But I have made a trip report from Rome on my homepage: http://gardkarlsen.com/rome_italy.htm . My wife and I went there a couple of years back and it is a great city :d I have also made a map that shows you where the attractions are located http://gardkarlsen.com/rome_italy_map.htm . It is interactive so you can zoom, click on the markers etc Hope you can find some useful info there :-) Regards Gard http://gardkarlsen.com - trip reports and pictures |
Check to see if you can fly into Rome but fly home from another city...Milan maybe?

If you have to fly back out of Rome then Florence is the most logical choice. It's close and has plenty to keep you busy for two days.
