I'm going to throw another bouquet at juliaT, whose account of driving through Bosnia convinced me that two middle-aged Canadians could enjoy a road trip in Croatia (and we did).

Katie: welcome back!

I love Kerouac's postings and photos which inspire so many of us!

Paris/France trip reports by tpayt, sap and Piccolina were great this year. I may think of others also.

Though it's from 2010, I like to cite Jill Davis' report on a trip to Venice: http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...me-over-me.cfm. She explains so well the fascination of Venice.

Susan's Paris made me think again and again of what love, family and memory can mean.

On the Africa board, atravelynn's latest (southern and Northern Tanzania) is as good as an atrvelynn report gets. That means it's terrific.

“… I fear’d to set my foot upon a dead man’s cheek” - Anselm in northern France in Europe
Anselm Adorne's trip reports are so informative, literary and heartfelt that he is my absolute favourite.

Hi Katie_H,

I know this is an old link but is there a newer, more recent link for entertaining trip reports that inspired you?

If not, care to share your favorites? Living vicariously till my next vacation.

Great to see a 2.5 year old thread re-emerge, where I'm pondering a hiking holiday. Having just completed that hiking holiday, that is.
