i need to add a third night, or change up itinerary??
We will be going to Portugal in 2 weeks. We have the possibility of changing up our plans, due to our traveling companions possibly canceling. We have 19 nights, this is what I have set up. I need to add a third night somewhere ,because my husband is seriously stressing about getting his laundry done at a drop off and pick up service!!! He does not want to pay hotel rates !!!! We love driving to different towns, so we don't mind the many stops. Maybe we could skip Belmonte and go from Lamego to Coimbra on our way to Evora. Help!!!!
arrive Lisbon, rent car
Drive to Obidos 3 nights
Coimbra 2 nights
Porto 3 nights
Lamego 2 nights
Belmonte 2 nights
Evora 2 nights
Lagos 2 nights
Lisbon 3 nights

since you are travelling to city centres and cars are an extra thing to worry about, park, keep secure etc etc, why are you not using the train?

You could always use a laundromat - we did, they're not hard to find in cities.
Personally, I'd add an extra night to Porto - we had five nights there and wouldn't have minded a sixth. We had three in Evora, and thought two would have been plenty.

Are you talking from experience or as an Amish electrician?
In all our trips to Spain we never took public transit and never had a problem finding parking, regardless of the place.
Toledo is bulid on top of a multistory parking lot, Vigo has an underground parking lotright at the cruse terminal.
Every hotel and every parador had parking.

Just a few comments. Parking and driving in Lisbon and Porto is a PITA. Portugal is not Spain. Why Obidos for 3 nights? Considering using it as a base to visit Nazare, Tomar etc? Douro valley? No Sintra? Going all the way to the Algarve for two nights? Lamego and Belmont? Probably could do with an extra night in Porto and Lisbon.
