We just returned from Venice, and though we absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED the city, we agree that the Madonna restaurant was far too overrated. Very little mediocre food for far too much money.

So you went to Madonna as well
It feels a bit strange when looking for a restaurant and you see lots of other tourists with the same guidebook looking for the same resturant I guess it must be quite a gold mine for a resturant to be listed in one or several of the guidebooks.
