Trip Report: 9 days in Croatia (with a daytrip to Montenegro)
 

We had a wondeful time in Croatia last summer and posted a trip report at www.hitherandthither.net.

We flew into Dubrovnik, spending time there and visiting the Elafiti Islands before renting a car for a day trip to Montenegro. Next, we drove to Korcula, passing through the Peljsac Penninsula (and visiting its wineries and Oyster farms) before basing ourselves in Korcula Town and making day trips to small beaches and villages around the island. Finally, we returned to Dubrovnik before spending a final day exploring Zagreb and going on our way!

I read your wonderful report! It is excellent and really paints the flavor . We leave for Croatia in 5 weeks. Will probably only have the same amount of time as you did in Zagreb so was happy to hear your time was so productive. Will use Rick Steves for Montenegro (you did an excellent job on that part of the report- helpful for me) and also Zagreb.

thanks for the efforts you have gone to

we enjoyed the dalmatian coast including montenegro in june 2006
hired a car and then a yacht - but we didnt do the islands close to dubrovnik
we headed from split and did hvar brac and vis instead

you have to make choices - and that bit i loathe!

since our trip we have convinced two other couples to do the trip
-it is certainly contagious and pleasure to pass on!
