Mishoe,
Really enjoyed your trip report. Just returned from Italy myself recently and it's helping me relive the trip. I think I'm in Italy withdrawal! You did some of the same things I did, but you saw some places that I did not see that I might consider in the future. I have heard San Gimignano is very crowded with tourists, did you find this to be true? Also, what specifically did you like about it?

Hi guys - so glad you're enjoying this! I meant to also thank everyone on this board that helped with all the planning - THANK YOU!!!!
RachelG - we did have wine - my Dad had some with every dinner (and would share), and even some at lunch. He just would order the House wine - I enjoyed some, but not others (I'm not a big wine drinker). I'm sorry, but I don't have any names to recommend (I'll remember next time!).
GARYNFLA - You will have a wonderful time!! Take tons of pictures, and let us know what you did when you get back.
Madison - Venice, I wish I had time to actually go into the city this time. Alas, all I got to see was the city from the window of my plane seat (I did see St Marks Tower). This time it was only the airport (was there in 90).
Scullysioux - San G was just adorable in my opinion. It's a quaint place. It just was so medievel! We did alot of the little side streets that others did not seem to go down. There were some crowds, but it was still off season (I did over hear another American say that she had been there before when you could hardly walk around).
