Trip recap
I use these boards for all my trips and I wanted to include a note with the hotels that we stayed at in case anyone does a search for info.
We stayed at:
Hostel Grau - Barcelona. Great location. Small room but big enough for us. Helpful desk. They allowed checked baggage and very helpful. Also a good deal.
Sol Melia - Granada. Close enough to the Cathedral and a bit of a walk to the palace. Very nice rooms with alot of room. We both loved the room and would have liked to have stayed longer. We got a great deal off the net.
Best Western Cervantes - Sevilla. A little bit a walk from the main area in a kinda confusing part of town but not too bad once you get the hang of it. Decent rates. Good rooms with some space. Helpful desk people.
Hostel Persal - Madrid. Good convenient location within walking distance of about everything. Great rate. Small room. Good staff and a great continental breakfast.
I would stay at any of them again without reservation.
Hope this helps someone.

You might actually reach the peoplle who would like to read this information with a message header more like: "A brief report on four hotels in Barcelona, Granada, Sevilla and Madrid".
Or even better, why not "A brief report on four hotels in Barcelona (Hostel Grau), Granada (Sol Melia), Sevilla (Best Western Cervantes) and Madrid (Hostel Persal)".
There is no penalty here for lengthy message headers, nor any reward for terse (and cryptic) ones.
Best wishes,
Rex

Glad to hear you liked the Sol Melia in Granada. We have a reservation there for our stay in Granada during our trip to Spain next month. If anyone else is thinking about booking this hotel, the Sol Melia website has some summer specials right now. We were able to book it for 50E per night, including breakfast for two.
