Trieste in March: will the bora blow me away?

I'm planning on doing an overnight to Trieste from Venice around the 3rd week in March. Anyone know if the bora is particularly strong that time of year, or too unpredictable?

Third week of March probably reduces the risks, the bora being a winter phenomenon, but you might have to just monitor the internet. I don't think it is so unpredictable you wouldn't know before you left. You won't need to book a room in advance for that time of year in Trieste.

Hi Holly, here is just one video of Trieste March 2010. No guarantee how Trieste will be this forthcoming March of course but having had a friend live there, she has since moved, I think you might anticipate the winds etc. Have a lovely time in Italy!

A friend of ours goes to the family home in Trieste from June - September each year. We live in Australia and I could never understand why he wouldn't go earlier in the year, but now I understand!

Oh, doesn't that look like fun ... Maybe I'll go the following weekend, and hope for the best. Thanks for the responses.
