Treviso to Venice and beyond??

Heading down to Italy for first time this July - staying in Treviso for 3 nights, plan to take trips around the area searching for beautiful things to see and pottery to buy and also want to head into Venice. Are there any tricks or tips I should know? What is the easiest and cheapest way to get to Venice from Treviso - we have a car? Any insider info would be greatly appreciated. Heading to a farmhouse in Tuscany after that so any tips for that area would be great. Is there a "best day" to visit the museums in Florence? Thanks in advance.

From Treviso you can get into Venice S. Lucia in less than 30 mins by train. Don't even think of taking the car.

Places to visit from Treviso besides Venice?

- The Dolomites
- Asolo
- Bassano del Grappa
- Vicenza

... to name a few.

Hope this helps ...

Simply take the regular trains to Venice
from Treviso(WWW.TRENITALIA.COM)straight
into Santa Lucia Station in Venice.Treviso is a good alternative to Venice when the season is busy, and has
good transport connections and a good really small airport.

Thank you for your ideas - I will check out the train. It would be cheaper for 2 tickets than a day at the parking lot? Thanks again. go

two train- tickets are cheaper for sure!
The parking lot is 19€ per day and reasonably crowded in season (i.e.all year round)
