Trevi Fountain - oops!

For those of you who read French.

http://www.courrierinternational.com...p?obj_id=75078

In a nutshell, for those who don't read French, the piping bringing water to the Fountain is the Acqua Virgine which has alwasy been preserved from barbarians since it was the only aqueduc located underground.

Well, the piping was recently broken by people building a wall (go figure!) and it may take some time before the water stemming from this Aqua Virgine sees the fountain again. In the meantime, authorities are trying to find an alternative system to ensure a water supply to the fountain.

A suggestion - there seems to be a serious lack of public toilets in Rome - maybe this could be coupled with getting water into the fountain?

Ona previous post about the Trevi it was implied that the water supply had been interrupted as the result of saome sort of vehicular "adventure."

Perhaps they can take all those coins in the fountain and apply that money to the repairs.
