Trenitalia Website

Can someone please walk me through the exact steps of how to locate/print the train schedules from the trenitalia website. Each time I go to the website I cannot find schedules for each day with several options that I can print and take on my trip to Italy in two weeks.

Thanks!

Nicole

I'm not sure what the trouble you are having is, but I sometimes find that having the name of train station, and not just the town name, helps to turn up schedules.

tuscanlifeedit,

When you log onto the site, what do you do next? Where do you go specifically on the site to print schedules? Thx.

I agree that I know of no way to print the schedule for the <i>entire day</i> for any pair of cities. Trenitalia shows you about four or five lines of departuire/arrival times (and connect-through points if any), clustered as close to, and after the time you specify.

For example, for Venice to Rome - - if you enter 13:00, you get five departures from 13:23 to 15:23 - - and then click &quot;next&quot; to see the next 4 or 5 after that.

You can get some timetable info at ant train station, in printed form - - but probably not for schedules between city B and city C at city A.

Perhaps too late to order by mail, but maybe you can find at the bookstore of a major city (in Rome? or somewhere near you) - - the Thomas Cook European timetable is the authooritative compilation of info you are seeking (though it seems overkill, just for main routes, in one country only).

http://www.travelbookstore.com/index...ustom&amp;ID=6 - - if you have 3-5 days before you leave (they will not do &quot;express&quot; shipping).

Best wishes,

Rex

The best site for train info is http://slowtrav.com/italy/trains/. It is very extensive.

Hi Nicol,

Can you get to the schedules at all?

nicoleg Aug 27th, 2004 02:30 AM

Thank you all, and ira, no, not sure what the problem is. I am not computer illiterate but I cannot get to that exact location.

Hi nicol,

Go to www.trenitalia.com/en

Enter your departure and arrival stations (Rome/Florence)

Enter your travel date and the time you are planning on leaving (do it for an hour earlier).

Click &quot;send&quot;.

This will bring up a screen with 5 trains on it.

You can print out the screen by clicking the &quot;print&quot; icon on the top of your screen.

You can also copy and paste into a word document and print that.
