Trenitalia Web Site problem

I'm having a problem with the Trenitalia Web site. I recently booked two trips using the ticketless option. But I never received an email confirmation, even though my credit card payment went through. I need someone in Italy to call but the Web site only lists a number that can be used in Italy. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it?

Did you check the e-mail account from which you set up your trenitalia account? Also check your spam folders or (people I don't know) e-mail folders.

Thanks TravMimi. My Trenitalia account does seem to be working and nothing (from them) in my spam filters. I did call Italian travel office in New York on Friday and they gave me an email address to try so I'm waiting for a reply.

Does anyone have a valid phone number for calling Trenitalia from the US?

We made the reservation on line, used a valid email account, our charge card has been deducted but we haven't received a PNR.

The RailEurope sight works much more easily than this and the company is in the US if there are problems.

Just a note that we removed a post from ken27 because it included a personal work email address.

Here is the post:

"Just to close the loop here, it turned out that Trenitalia had never processed my first payment. So today I rebooked using another card and, miraculously, it worked. For those who are having similar problems with Trenitalia, I'll pass along two contacts: 1) (edited) 2) you can also call 011-39-06-44101,which is a Trenitalia dept. in Rome. However, the person who picks up the phone speaks Italian only."

Ken, thank you for coming back and letting us know how it worked out for you-- your experience will certainly help others.

Individuals experiencing difficulties can email Trenitalia at [email protected].
