Trenitalia Web Site

I am assuming that I have to register with the site to be able to buy tickets. I have tried 3 times and each time get a message that I will received my password by email. Yet it never come. I even openned a yahoo email account thinking the problem was with aol. Still no email from them. Any suggestion or fixes to this problem. I really would like to buy our tickets from Rome to Venice and Venice to Florence before we arrive.

Thanks

The Trenitalia site is famous for giving people headaches when they try to register. Opening a second e-mail account if the first one doesn't work often solves the problem. But that didn't work for you so that's no help.

Assuming you'll be in Rome a few days before going to Venice, you'll have no problem if you wait until you get to Rome to buy your tickets. Use your credit card at a ticket machine at the Termini station and buy them all at once. Instructions are available in English. Quick and easy.

RailEurope has a website that is far easier to use!

RailEurope's timetables are incomplete and their prices are inflated. If all you need are times and fares (without booking), the Trenitalia site works fine--most of the time.

Hi P,

If at first you don't succeed.....

Have you looked in your spam folders?

You can buy all of your tickets at the train station at FCO when you take the train to Rome TE.

I'm having the exact same problem. I tried 3 different accounts. Also, I can't retrieve a password from an account that I opened up 2 years ago. The page says error. I had no problems 2 years ago

I've got to assume that they have a systems problem...but unfortunately there is no one to e-mail for help!

Guess we need to wait; but I love to get these details out of the way!

Some posters have had better luck registering and purchasing tickets during normal business hours
