GAC - thanks for posting.

going onto the ticket booking site, it shows that it cuts the overall journey time for the milan-naples journey to 4.5 hours, and the time for Rome to naples to just over an hour.

especially if you could get one of the mini-fares, that would really be worth thinking about.

i also love the meeting room in business class and the free wi-fi.

now all I need is an excuse to go back to Italy!

I got the Frecciabianca from southern tuscany [the Rome to Genoa line] to Pisa, and loved it. the 2nd class was much more comfortable than the regional train I'd got going the other way, and I was happy to pay the extra cost.

ann - Those have been the travel times for the last year or two so that hasn't changed.

I'm not seeing mini fares offered for 1a salottino.
