Trenitalia Train Ticket

Hi guys,

I am going to buy my train ticket from the Trenitalia website. But realised that there are many fare options.
Would like to find out if the fare option of "Junior 10%" and " Junior 20%" is only applicable to Italian residents. I have no idea what is the "Socio" ticket they are referring to.

Quoting from the tariff information from the train purchasing site:
"Discounts
Junior: 10% for young people under 26. Can be bought only if the amount owed, net of the discount, is at least 10 euro.
On board the train, the "Socio" ticket must be shown together with the Cartaviaggio issued in the name of the traveller, together with a valid identification document."

Hi D,

People under 25 can buy a "Youth Fare" card, which gives you a discount.

However, for one or two train rides, you don't save enough.

The Cartaviaggio is for Italians.

Just pay the full fare.
