Trenitalia help, please? Website not cooperating...
I can't get the "price" button to tell me how much the following trip is...if you can help, I thank you!
Departing Firenze for La Spezia Centrale late afternoon on May 17th. I want to know how much it is. I'm trying to decide whether to buy a train pass or buy singles. Again, thank you! I appreciate your help! |

Florence to La Spezia is probably a regional train. You have to use a date within the next 7 days for the Buy button to show.

Excellent, Ira...yes, much easier to understand...
And thank you, too, Zerlina. That makes sense. I have pricing information now! I think the 3-day Italy pass makes sense for me IFF it counts in someway toward the fare of the overnight train from Milan to Paris. (I will use the first day to go from Florence to CT. I will use the second day to get from CT to Milan. Am hopeing the third day will work for the overnight train from Milan to PAris. The info I keep reading is vague on this...) My brain no worko no more...dis is confusing... |
Hi Kit - Buy singles. A 3-day pass will almost certainly NOT save you money on this itinerary.

Hi K,
>I think the 3-day Italy pass makes sense for me IFF it counts in someway toward the fare of the overnight train from Milan to Paris. Don't get a pass. You can buy Milan/Paris Smart Price tickets for about 60E in a couchette from Trenitalia. |
For the overnight trains from Italy to Paris, there is a discount fare for rail pass holders. However, to qualify for this, you need to have a rail pass (or passes) covering both Italy and France. A rail pass for Italy does not give a discount on these trains.
