Trenitalia Booking Problem
Hi! I've read a few posts about the trenitalia website & its problems, but i was wondering if anyone has advice about my specific problem.
I choose to pay by credit card, get to the payment screen, enter in all my CC details then select OK .. but it just re-loads the same payment page? I'm now not sure if I have paid or not. Should i have been forwarded to a confirmation screen? I haven't received any confirmation email yet either. Help!! |
I had a similar problem and found it better to use 'Virtual' cc # from Citibank - it's one of their online fraud protection tools. (if you are a CB card holder).

Hi, do you know if it's an error and my CC will not be charged?
I assume yes because I didn't receive a confirmation email, but please let me know what your experience was if you can. thanks! |
Just to update anyone who's interested - got a call from my bank who confirmed they did block the transaction due to fraud concerns. So, as other members have said, triple check your bank is okay with the transaction before trying to purchase.

Or unless you save money if it's a full fare ticket just buy it upon arrival in Europe - rarely any problem booking trains - zillions of trains each day.
