Trenitalia

Last week I registered at the Trenitalia web site. I still have not received a password from them. Does anyone know how long it takes? Thanks.

Eloise Jun 6th, 2005 05:16 AM

I suggest you try again; I got mine in 10 minutes or so.

Yes, I also would try again. I received mine within minutes.

Or, if you have software that puts messages into Bulk or Spam, you might try checking there as well, since I imagine Trenitalia is a large-volume sender that might not be known as "legitimate" to American software.

I remember the time a few years ago when Harvard University sent out its acceptances in a large mailing, and half (or so) of the students didn't get theirs because it went into their Spam box...

Thanks so much for the info. I applied again. And I will look in my spam folder.

I registered last Friday and still have not received a password. I used the "forgot password" feature and still no reply.
I have reservations and would like to print them out..but no luck in contacting Trenitalia without the password.
Any ideas.

ps..no spam or bulk

Hi gray,

Try putting Trenitalia into your address book (this often avoids the spam filter), and use the "forgot password" procedure again.

Thanks Ira..sounds like an idea to try, except I have not received any email from them and don't have an address to enter. Does anyone have the address that the password email was sent from?
Thanks.

Before someone decides to take issue...

Apoligize that I have been posting on this subject in two threads. Posted in the one before I saw this thread that is on point with my problem.

I also "apologize". Need to proof read before I post.

Hi ang,

I have two addresses:

[email protected]

[email protected]

I think the latter is for cancelling your registration.

Ira -
Thanks you are a wealth of knowledge.

ira Jun 6th, 2005 09:55 AM

You're welcome

grayland Jun 6th, 2005 10:11 AM

Thanks Ira.

I will add those two and try the "forgot password" again.
They must be having problems if 2 of us are experiencing the same thing. It sounds like a quick response with the password is the norm.

Hope the fact that I have a PNR and seat numbers will get me by...but am not counting on it.

Hi gray,

If you are taking an ES* train, you are OK. The ticket is good for that train only.

IIRC, the conductor will ask you for ID and enter your PRN into his computer.

I still have not been able to get a password on the site. I have turned off all spam detectors and have tried about 10 times...still no response.

I am wondering if anyone else has registered since last Friday and received a password.
