Travelling with Ryan Air - where does the bus from Ciampino Airport drop you off?

I'm going to Rome for three days with my mum in March and am trying to plan our itinerary. We'll be travelling with Ryan Air who fly to Ciampino airport. I believe Ryan Air will organise a bus which will bring us into Rome City Centre but I was wondering where it will leave us off? We are staying in a hotel near the Vatican area and again wondered if it is easy to get a taxi once we are dropped off? Do we just hail one or are there taxi ranks? I appreciate any advice you can give me.

The bus will take you to Termini train station. www.terravision.it From Termini you can taxi or take the metro.

Another option would be one of the airport shuttles which would pick you up at Ciampino and take you to your hotel. I've used www.limoservicerome.com but there are others also.

Thanks for this. As we're on a budget though, I was looking for the most cost effective way of travelling. Do you know how much the bus from Ciampino will cost and what the likely taxi fare from the Termini station will be? I don't think we'll use the metro as it will be quite late and we'll have our luggage with us. Thanks

IC - The fare is €8 single; €13.50 return.

You can expect to pay € 10-15 for a taxi from Termini to the Vatican area.

Hope this helps ...

You can see the Terravision site, which runs the shuttles, at http://www.terravision.it .
