Travelling to Rome

So Im going to Rome for my Honeymoon for 9 days in Rome. I have been to Europe before but never Italy. Was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what to see or where to go. I was thinking a couple days in Rome, Florence, and Tuscany. I would also like to see the leaning tower. I know there are so much to see. So any suggestion helps!!!!

Sounds like you need a travel agent. I would suggest looking at Booking.com or Venere.com and selecting hotels according to your budget.
Florence is actually in Tuscany, as is the Leaning Tower.
Read some guide books and determine what interests you. It appears your knowledge of the places you want to visit is patchy/non-existent.

First I think we need the time of year, what is great in August will be horrible in December.

Secondly we need to know what you like, museums, people watching. in line-skating, canoeing etc etc?

I like looking at historical land marks and scenery. Im not really into museums. I will be flying into Rome in March of 2016. Im just absolutely lost on everything. LOL I would also like to see the catacombs....Are they worth seeing???? And Hotels... There are so many to choose from any suggestions??

For hotel recos you need to give us a specific nightly amount in euros.

Second, in March you can still have weather that is chilly and rainy - so good for cities - but might be good or bad in the countryside.

Finally, 9 days - and is this 9 or 10 nights? - is not really enough time to see more than 2 places - with perhaps a day trip or two. So I strongly suggest you read a couple of good guide books to help decide which places you need to focus on.

150 Euro a night and staying 9 nights. Also do you suggest any good guide books?

Take some day trips from Rome. We did this a few years ago and it enabled us to stay in one hotel for our trip but get out of the city to see things in surrounding area. We stayed 9 nights in Rome and still didn't see everything! If you want to read the TR you can click on my name and search for it.

I don't think I can help with the hotel. We loved Albergo del Senato but it is more than you are looking to spend.

For day trips, we visited Ostia Antica, Tivoli ( Hadrian's villa and Villa d'Este) and Orvieto. We loved Orvieto and Villa d'Este. Villa d'Este is a fountain lovers dream---gorgeous. I am sure there are other day trip options.

Enjoy...Rome is a beautiful city.....the history is just amazing!
