Travelling by ferry in Eastern Europe

We wish to travel/meander from Bratislava to Istanbul September / October 2011. I see that we can travel from Bratislava to Budapest by ferry. After that I am stumped. Can anyone help with contacts that will enable us to travel some part of the rest of the journey by ferry along the Danube. All I have been able to find are river cruises from point A to Point B and that is not really our thing! We would especially like to spend some time in Romania. Any suggestions gratefully read!

As far as I know, there are no regular services along the Danube below Budapest. There are ferries from one side of the river to the other, and there are boats doing short pleasure trips such as these in Serbia at Beograd (www.eurometronavodi.com) and Kladovo (www.djerdapturist.co.rs).
There are services in the delta in Romania (www.navrom.x3m.ro).

The Navrom schedules, which certainly till recently took you from Tulcea to the Black Sea, appear to be available in English at www.romaniatourism.com/tulcea.html
