Traveling to Mykonos
 

Do you sugguest plane or hydrofoil from Athens? Do you think 12 days is toooo long to spend in Mykonos? <BR> <BR>Please advise. <BR>Thank you!

Take a plane from athens to mykonos. Yes, 12 days is too much in Mykonos. There are too many islands for you to see in that time.

Since you have 12 days you can take the ferry if you prefer. Personally, I like to fly into Athens and connect to an inter-island flight, skipping Athens until the end. <BR> <BR>I spent a week on Mykonos and felt it was just about right. With the amount of time you have, you might want to split it between two islands. Mykonos and Paros are similar, but Mykonos and Santorini are quite different. <BR> <BR>I recommend you spend at least one night in Athens before you catch you flight to allow time in case there are transportation problems getting back to Athens. This has never happened to me, but I'm also prepared in case it does.

The plane ride from athens to mykonos was $52 last May. Go see in Santorini, beautiful island. Again, take a pland from Mykonos to Santoirni.

I spent 5 days on Mikonos & 5 days on Santorini. I think you'll have seen everything on Mikonos worth seeing in 6 days, max. I wish I had spent more time on Corfu (2 days) as its a much prettier (eg green) island. Santorini (Thira) is spectacular.
