Traveling to Greece w/ 22 yr old son, what should he not miss?
We are going to visit family in Vollos and want to make sure that my son has a great experience, what should he not miss? Landing in athens and staying in Glyfada for 2 days and then we are open for the next 10 days, and seeing the family sometime during that time in Vollos. Thanks so much!!

I am Greek living in Greece, the last war that i can recall was WW2.......
But fortunately this war is over, as Greece was liberated in October 1944
Oh .. there was also a civil war until 1949, but that's over as well

Maybe Linda is referring to the recent protests. No one could possibly think that there's a war in Greece.
I apologize if this sounds mean, but I will also agree with nyt in saying that a 22 year old should be taking some responsibility for his trip.

All kidding aside, if I were 22 I would probably want to go off on my own for 4-5 days, maybe to Mykonos or Paros, hitting the beaches during the day and doing some partying at night. Then I would be happy to join the family in Volos for the rest of the holiday. An island nearer Volos which is also lots of fun is Skiathos.

A 22-year-old is not a child that needs to be kept constantly close.
What is he interested in? History and old ruins? Dancing and drinking at nightclubs? Days at the beach? Shopping?
Give him a guidebook to look through. Let him pick a few things that he thinks look interesting.
Who is paying his travel expenses? If you are paying for everything you should have the right to veto any really expensive ideas. If he's paying all or large parts of his own costs, you should let him do whatever he wants (unless it's something illegal, of course).
