Traveling to Croatia w/ infant - tips?
 

We won a free trip to Dubrovnik this April from my company, so are planning to be there for a week. We will have a 3 month old infant however, so are curious if any one else has had experience traveling in Dubrovnik with a young baby? We would love to extend the trip as well to go see Split, but aren't sure how easy it is to travel around the country with a young baby. Any tips on what to do/see in Dubrovnik with a young one, and ease of travel around the country would be greatly appreciated!

Croatia has a good bus system, and there are frequent daily buses between Dubrovnik and Split. Try this site:

Note that these buses actually must pass through a small sliver of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so you cross a border twice (out of Croatia then back in a few kilometers later), so be prepared for passport checks - usually easy for Americans holding US passports.

Driving is easy in Croatia for Americans, and car rental would be cheap (and not much traffic) in April, but I wouldn't want a car if I were going to be in only Dubrovnik and Split. But a car could make it easier to do certain day trips e.g. to Montenegro or to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

You may also be able to get a ferry between Split and Dubrovnik but perhaps not every day. There was a coastal ferry that used to go up and down the Dalmatian coast once or twice a week - got shut down in 2016 for some reason, but I've heard it's back for 2017. Might be slow but pretty scenic.
