Kja, that is very interesting! I didn't realize that gemut goes through a competitor to arrange a car rental and at a lower cost no less. I will have to take a look at them next trip.

@ joannyc -- I'm not sure it is a competitive arrangement.... All I know is that's it has worked well for me!

Gemut is a German based company that seems to be into selling just about everything you could possibly want. But I don't understand how they can offer a cheaper rate then going directly through AE, since AE will beat any rate from any legit car rental agency. I guess I don't understand their business model.

Well, maybe I haven't given Autoeurope a sufficient chance. All I can do is report my experience.
