Traveling Aggies Program

Hi,
Has anybody out there ever taken a trip through the "Traveling Aggies" program in association with Texas A&M University? I'm not normally interested in group travel, but thought it might not be such a bad idea for Russia. They have a Russian cruise from St. Petersburg to Moscow in the late summer.

Any comments would be appreciated!

Have you asked this question on www.texags.com ? You'll probably be more likely to get a response there. This board definitely tends to skew toward those who prefer independent travel to group travel.

I can't post a question there because for registration they won't accept a "free" email account address such as yahoo or hotmail. I'm not allowed to use my work address for such things. I'm surprised they would have this lame requirement. Oh well. Thanks for the suggestion anyways!

Can you not get an alumni address from A&M? All my friends have one and they use it for stuff like that. It is just a forwarding address that goes into your general e-mail.

I'm assuming by your screen name that you are, yourself, an Aggie and thus, would not mind traveling with a group of Aggies.

laclaire, I never knew or thought about an address through the association.

missypie, yes indeed, I am an Aggie. Traveling with a bunch of Aggies would be great. I'm not a group travel person, but if I had to travel with a group, I can't think of anyone better to travel with than a bunch of Ags.

I am just imagining the "rules" for travel with Aggies....maybe you'll have to stand up during the whole flight over, except when the seat belt sign is lit? Special yells for each destination?

That is too funny Missypie! I hope the only Aggie thing in tow on such a trip would be the Aggie flag and good Aggie values, but no "yells" or other such things.
