can anyone tell me whether i can use a travelers cheque (pound stirling) to purchase my train ticket for the express after boarding the train, or do i need cash? i was hoping not to have to validate my britrail pass right away. <BR>thanks

Lisa, I'm pretty sure you can't use a travellers cheque for it - however I'm almost certain you can use credit cards on the train. Bizarrely, their website doesn't seem to state this. If you want to be really sure, email [email protected]

I was in London last march and paid for the Gatwick express with my credit card before boarding. Hope this helps. <BR> <BR>Mary
