OOPS,

enter "charcuterie" (take out prepared food) as the activite' and "Paris 75005" as the localitie, you will get a new menu. Click on "Paris (75)" and you will get a list.

There are several of these shops in the 5th.

A friend of mine, who used to live here in France, has a very severe form of Coeliac disease. She always called ahead to restaurants to make sure the chef would be able to cater for her requirements. Just checking with the waiter was not always enough, unfortunately (they sometimes forget that wheat flour and gluten, such as modified starch, can be present in many guises).
You can find a small selection of gluten free food in most health food shops in Paris, and the staff there are likely to be well informed and helpful (more so than staff in supermarkets).

I'd also suggest getting food from markets and picnicking outdoors (or indoors!) when you can. Also, many of the Parisian brasserie staples (steak-frites, salad, seafood) are wheat-free too. If ordering a salad, you can ask for them to give you the dressing separately ("avec la sauce/vinaigrette à part").

One suggestion is to go to a web site - www.selectwisely.com . They sell food allergy translation cards including gluten-free, lactose and vegetarian cards. Lots of languages and they say they can combine languages for special orders.
