Travel to Lourdes from San Sebastian

Hi, we would like to visit Lourdes from San Sebastian. Are there any tours or how would you recommend making his trip?

We would prefer not to rent a car.

Thanks!

There may be some tours, but none that I am aware of. The usual route is to go to Hendaye and take the train from there.

We've used a private transfer service for clients, but as you can imagine, it's expensive. Cheaper to rent a car.

With train, it Will take lot of time. Topo from Donostia to Hendaye, train from Hendaye to Bayonne, change there for Pau, not even sure this train goes to Lourdes.
There is also a bus from Donostia to Bayonne That could save some time

Bahn.de shows 9 daily train connections between Hendaye and Lourdes. The Euskotren San Sebastian - Hendaye runs every 30 min.

We did this trip using Tours by Locals. We had a private driver but there was 6 people and I believe the cost was about 400 Euro total. We spent the several hours at Lourdes, had lunch, and then met the driver to take us back to San Sebastian. It was a very nice trip.

You can rent a compact car for the day for less then $100 USD (Europcar). Or less then $50 USD through Enterprise, on most days.

Thanks for the suggestions! It looks like a car rental might be the best way to go.

We booked a car through Kemwell for $50 a day for our day trip to Lourdes from San Sebastian next month. I did check with Tours by Locals, but the price quoted was $400 for the day.
