Hi kendu, Torino is the correct Italian name. In English it is Turin.
Have fun planning your trip! |
Kendu, please do go to the trenitalia site that ira mentioned. It will be a great help to you.
Approximate travel times (from memory): Rome-Florence, 1.5 hours Florence-Venice, 3 hours Rome-Venice, 4.5 hours (via Florence) Venice-Torino, 5 hours (via Milan) Florence-Torino, 4-5 hours I recall from your previous posts that you don't have much time--only 8 days. Four cities would be a lot to cover, especially if you plan to see some Olympic events. |
Do a search for my name; I routed from Rome to Florence to Venice back to Rome from a year and a half ago.

Eurostar trains have buffet cars or restaurant cars, and InterCity trains have buffet cars and because you are a little slower they have better views. I should pick Rome Termini 2310, Turin Porto Nuova 0710. Turin Porto Nuova 0905, Venice Santa Lucia 1408, with a packed lunch and bottle of wine Venice Santa Lucia 1322, lunch in the buffet car, Florence SMN 1626 [email protected] |
