Hi, I want to do the following if possible. Please tell me specific travel time by train from any combo of Florence, Rome, Torino (olymic site, don't know if I got name right) and, if possible, Venice. Or, if Venice is like 8 or more hours please let me know.

Rome-Florence, 1.5 hours
Florence-Venice, 3 hours
Rome-Venice, 4.5 hours (via Florence)
Venice-Torino, 5 hours (via Milan)
Florence-Torino, 4-5 hours

I recall from your previous posts that you don't have much time--only 8 days. Four cities would be a lot to cover, especially if you plan to see some Olympic events.

The reference library of a city near you my have the Thomas Cook European Rail Timetable, which shows the trains. To include a night for the longest journey and so cut a hotel bill and waking travel time, you can try Rome, Turin, Venice, Florence. I showconly through trains: you have oither times as well if you change in Milan or Bologna

Florence to Rome by Eurostar in 1 hour 40 minutes or by InterCity in 2 hours 10 minutes. Eurostar trains have buffet cars or restaurant cars, and InterCity trains have buffet cars and because you are a little slower they have better views.
