Travel Time at Heathrow Airport - T3 & T5
Can someone please lend some assistance? I'm flying on Virgin Atlantic (VA) from Los Angeles into Heathrow. I understand that VA from Los Angeles arrives at Terminal 3 in Heathrow. I will have to reclaim my luggage and take another flight on British Airways (BA) to Madrid -- separate booking. This was the best deal I was able to put together. I'm wondering if 4 hours between arrival in Terminal 3 and departure in Terminal 5 is sufficient ? I gave myself some wiggle room for flight delay, securing baggage upon arrival in London, going through customs in London upon arrival, rechecking in for flight to Madrid, going through TSA, and then grabbing a glass of vino before departure. Okay, the glass of vino is an option
If you are familiar with Heathrow, do you have any concerns about the 4 hours between arrival and departure ...going from Terminal 3 to Terminal 5 ?
Thank you and much appreciative of any assistance you can provide.

Assuming your VS flight arrives in time, 4 hours is more than adequate for everything INCLUDING a glass of wine or three. However - If your arriving flight is late, BA owes you nothing.
LHR has this tool on its website that walks you through the process https://www.heathrow.com/flight-connections
Just FYI's : >>going through TSA<< - It isn't TSA. That is a US thing.
>>I understand that VA from . . . <<. Virgin Atlantic is VS, not VA
