Travel Partner to France?

I'm a SWF in 40s planning a trip to France May 25-June 11 (flights are booked). Plans include 1-week self-guided cycling trip somewhere in France (Dordogne? Canal du Midi?) and 1 week in Paris. Have been to France several times, love to just explore, walk, etc. Am on a budget (2* accommodations), maybe get an apt. for week in Paris. If one, or both, of these weeks appeals to you, would love to hear from you.
Am accustomed to traveling solo, but would like to find compatible traveling companion to share expenses, meet for dinner at end of day (in Paris), etc.

Hi jayhawk, check your thread in the Lounge Forum as I gave you a website you might want to check out.

Hi Jayhawkx2
Thank you for the invite to meet for dinner. That sounds great! I am confirming my intinerary. I'm looking to be in Paris between June 1 - June 10 as well.

Kristalblue,
I've only been on the Fodor forum for a month or so, and didn't realize there wasn't a way to send a private message or email to another poster! (weird, most of the other forums have that option). Anyway, I hope you've found a hotel. I FINALLY got all my bookings confirmed, and I can't wait!! I'll be staying in the 7th from June 1-8, and in the 3rd from the 8-11. I like to split my time up between Left and Right Bank.
I'm going to Normandy for a quick trip on the 6th and 7th, but would love to meet up for a meal.
Here's my email (with a few modifications to hopefully prevent spammers!): r_s_n_c_2_0_1_1@y a h o o. c o m

If you put your email address in your profile then people can send you private email messages.

You can also post an email address in a post and just use (the word) at instead of @ in the address.

jayhawkx2--

My friend and I will be in Paris that time as well. We could meet you for dinner, or we could do something else together if you like. We're two women just turned 50.

It's my 4th time in Paris, my friend's first, and we have two weeks, so our plan is to move from arr to arr, and visit museums, sights, gardens, cafes, etc one neighborhood at a time. We have an apt near the Louvre. We have our days scheduled out, as I want to visit Giverny and we're doing day trips to the Loire and Provins as well, but our days in Paris aren't micromanaged, just a rough idea of what's available to see/do in each arr.

You can email me at lisaonkili at yahoo.com

Jayhawkx2, add me to your contacts for other possibilities besides lunch. It's starting to sound like fun. (In Paris most of the week, 2-9 June. MmePerdu at gmail.com)

I'm confused as to how to post my email address so not to get span/scammers. Please advise, thanks!

My reservations are confirmed 6/1-6/9.

Just like the poster above did....you use the word "at" instead of @ when you type the address in your post. Also you might want to set up a new gmail or yahoo account just for this purpose. You can always FW the replies to the account you normally use and answer serious inquiries with your preferred email address.
