This is a nice little magazine on Italy and things Italian:
www.benemag.com I like Conde Nast; Gourmet and Saveur; the last two have lots of food-related travel content. |
The only one I subscribe to is Hidden Europe, http://www.hiddeneurope.co.uk/
|
ITN is International Travel News. Magaxine.
|
Cote Est and Cote Ouest. They're not strictly travel though, more travel/dining/shopping/interior design.
|
ITN - Internatinal Travel News is a monthly magazine, By subscription only.
www.intltravelnews.com Comes out of Sacramento, CA I don't recall the price of a subscription. It is printed in black and white (no color) on newspaper print paper. February 2007 feature stories: The North Pole Nepal Australia Italy - Florence cooking class Peru Learning another language There are feature columns: Rick Steves is a contributor each month, this month's topic Blackpool, Britain's Coney Island. You can send a friend a free copy by e-mail with name and address to: [email protected] This way you can decide if you like enough to buy subscription. |
Greece Magazine. It's published eight times a year (recently increased from six to eight) by a British company and they mail it to me here. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Their articles about my favorite country are superb. milley |
Wanderlust is the clear No1 for travellers. Real Travel are making a name for themselves for sure.
|
Blackpool, Britain's Coney Island???!!!
Which planet is this guy from? |
National Geographic Traveler and France magazine (www.francemag.com).
Ron, thanks for the web address for Hidden Europe. That looks like a gem. Diane |
Diane, you're welcome.
The January 2007 issue has a feature article on night train travel, including a small sidebar of night train travel tips from our very own Ben Haines. |
Travel & Leisure.
I like that couple of their contributing editors are well known authors, and the stories tend to have more of a meaning to me due to some socio-political-history analyses than we visited this art nouveau hotel, that city is hip, and one has to eat in expensive restaurants just to be part of the in-crowd. |
I'd chip in my vote for Hidden Europe magazine too (already mentioned above). So of the others mentioned here are worldwide in their coverage. What's good about Hidden Europe is that they specialise in Europe and try to appeal to the more savvy traveler. Lots of online articles at http://www.hiddeneurope.co.uk. They also have a few newsletter, with an excellent archive of about sixty past issues.
