Travel in Spain
Hi. I am trying to plan my honeymoon by traveling in Spain. It will be in late Sept.- early Oct. I want to visit the Barcelona side. Any ideas on the best places to visit on that side of the country? I am looking for all inclusive type vacation. Want to visit as much of the country as possible in 8 days. We would also love to spend at least two days in Balearic Isles. Any Ideas?

Have you taken a look at a map? There is only so much you can do in a mere 8 days.

I'm planning my own trip to Spain at that time. Why don't you just stay in Barcelona and take a day trip to the beach. People say Sitges is nice (I think it's maybe the nearest beach). Girona is apparently a very nice smaller town (city?) that you could probably do as a day trip from Barcelona. I'm staying there for a week on my trip. Go to Mallorca another time. Or just go to the Balearics for a week, since it's your honeymoon. Remember that you have 2 full days lost in travel as well.

Would be sad to do an all inclusive tour to Barcelona, more than half the fun is going out to fabulous tapas bars and restaurants.
I would have stayed with four-five days in wonderful Barcelona and some three-four days in Mallorca. Extremely much to see, taste, do and experience in Barcelona, and many different parts of the city with very different atmosphere. http://www.barcelonaturisme.com/ Barcelona: http://maribelsguides.com/mg_barcelona.pdf Barcelona dining: http://maribelsguides.com/mg_barcelona_dining.pdf For a honeymoon splurge, I can very much recommend Hotel Neri, luxcury in the best location. 20% discount when reserved and payed min 30 days ahead: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...Catalonia.html samoca, The Barceoneta city beach in Barcelona is kilometers long and has got a fabulous vibe. All kinds of people and almost all kinds of activities. Just a few blocks inside the Barceloneta neighbourhood there are lots of local feel tapas bars and restaurants, many of them along Carrer Sant Carles and Carrer Ginebra. |

I would split between Barcelona and Mallorca.
