Travel in Italy

We will be in Florence for 5 days in October and have another 9 days before we fly out of Milan. We wish to visit Venice (2 days) and Cinque terre and Milan(2 days) We would have been travelling by train up to this point and dont mind train, bus or tours.Could you please advise us which way would be the most convenient way to cover this distance. It appears we will cover some ground twice. We are two sixty something sisters traveling together.

Is this how your days add up?

Day 0. Arrive Florence. Settle in.
Day 1. Florence
Day 2. Florence
Day 3. Florence
Day 4. Florence
Day 5. Florence
Day 6. Train to the CT (3 hours)
Day 7. CT
Day 8. Train to Venice (6 hours)
Day 9. Venice
Day 10. Venice
Day 11. Train to Milan (3 hours)
Day 12. Milan
Day 13. Milan
Day 14. Fly home

If so, unless you have a long list of specific things you want to see in Milan, I would take one day from Milan and give it to Venice.

What airport are you flying into at the front end?
