Travel in Europe in 14 days

Hi all, may I get some advise please?

Im planning to visit Praque, Vienna, Munich, zurich, and Paris in 15 days in on 26 September. Is it possible? What is the best route? Im travelling with my 60 years old mum and 7 years old son :)

How long should I stay in Praque and Vienna? and if I take overnight train from vienna to zurich, is it safe?
Is the weather cold in early October?

Thanks a lot.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I will be flying from Indonesia by emirates with open jaw. So, Im still confused as to fly where and depart from.

For my tastes, it's too many destinations, too many days sitting on trains, but it's certainly possible. Each of the train rides is about 5 hours. Would 2 full days in each place give you enough time to see/do what you want?

"... if I take overnight train from vienna to zurich, is it safe?" Does that mean Munich is expendable?

The weather will probably be quite pleasant in early October.

Way too many moves. Remember how much time you will lose traveling to the bus or train or plane, waiting time, actual travel time, and then again getting to the hotel checking and packing and unpacking. AND at least the 7 year old will be relying you.

I would omit Zurich and Munich.

Jean, yes. Munich is expendable. I actually wanted to go to Paris and Swiss as I studied there before and have been wanting to go back. But, my mum wants to see praque. Hence Im looking for a better route as how to go paris, swiss and praque. But I feel praque is a bit far.

yellow triangle pressed re the last post.

3 places - Paris, Switzerland [Zurich?] and Prague are certainly possible in 14 days, but the order rather depends of your flights.

where are you flying into and out of? is the first point to establish.

I recently spent three nights in each of those two cities and really would have preferred four nights each. So much to do and see.

This is a website that I use for weather history:

Weather that time of year shoud be lovely and cool for touring - but may feel too cold if you're form indonesia. Definitely ned to take a sweater, tissue weight rain jacket with hood and waterproofed walking shoes and umbrella.

Agree to drop Zurich - a really boring business city - but do Lucerne instead - and stick to 3 places when traveling with a child.
