Travel help Paris to Florence
I am planning a trip for this june/july. We are arriving in Paris on a Sat.morning and plan to spend several days in Paris before going on to Florence. I am trying to figure out the easiest, shortest and least expensive way to get three of us to Florence. Do you suggest, a european airline, overnight train, driving, etc? Any and all info will be appreciated. Thanks

I booked City Jet from Paris to Florence via Air France, as I believe they are an affiliate. If you go to the site and put the to/from details in, it will tell you that it's an Air France flight run by City Jet.

Hi dawg,
You can fly Paris Orly to Venice Marco Polo or Rome FCO on www.volareweb.com for about 40E.
From there, you can take the train to Florence.

Thank you, I will check that out, I looked into Ryanair to Rome or Milan. That was reasonable but I am not familiar with the airport it flies from. It is not Orly or DeGaul, it is Paris (BVA) to Rome (CIA) or to Milan(BGY).Are you familiar with any of those? how far from the cities are they? Thanks

Thanks for the info @ airports. Air France was @ $500 each ticket one way and $700 RT. Couldn't isolate a flight on City Jet specifically. Volare flight was reasonable from Orly to FCO. Is this a reputable airline? Thanks

Hi dawg,
Volare is a reputable, no-frills airline.
We haven't suggested the train because it is a very long ride and costs more than flying.
See www.trenitalia.com/en
