How do I get from Seville to Granada the fastest way?

I guess the choices are car, train or bus.

We were in Seville two years ago and took the train to Granada. It's about 3 1/2 hours.

You can look it up on www.renfe.com

Take the fastest train which leaves at 7.00 in the morning. You will arrive in Granada by 10.00. Take a taxi to Plaza Nueva. From there take bus 32 with Alhambra on it uphill. This bus runs every 5 minutes. The bus stops near the ticket office busstop Generalife. I did it last saturday and it worked out well.
Make your reservation for the Alhambra way ahead.

It's a 3 hour drive - mostly through olive orchards. We did it recently and it was pretty easy - good road. I wished we had a little extra time to explore some of the side roads to the south... the hills there looked interesting!

I was there last year and took the bus. If I remember correctly, it was slightly cheaper and about 1/2 hour faster than the train. Also, we were able to walk to the bus station from our hotel in Sevilla which made it quite easy.

It's a two and a half hour trip from the bus station at Seville to the bus station at Granada. Buses leave at very frequent intervals.

We were there a few years ago and drove. It's an easy and beautiful drive. We left Grandada in the afternoon (when the rental car place reopend after siesta!) and drove to Jean. We stayed over night at the Parador in Jean which was an amazing experience. It's on the top of a mountain over looking olive groves as far as the eye can see. It's an old castle that's definately not luxurious (which is usually a requirement of mine) but completely worth it for the experience. The next morning we got up and drove to Cordoba to see the Alcazar which I have always wanted to see since I studied it in Art History, and it was closed! It was a random holliday that we didn't know about, so definately check that type of thing while you are planning your trip. From there we droved to Seville. If I remember correctly it took us about an hour and a half from Cordoba. I would definately reccomend doing it this way because you see so much of the beautiful country.

The train takes three hours (not 3.5) and the seats require reservations (easily gotten at the Seville RR station ticket office the day of departutre to include the 7:00 AM departure.

The countryside is very similar to that of the southwestern US.

yes, i took the train from sevilla (santa justa station) to granada 3 weeks ago: it leaves at 7am and arrives in granada at 10:05! Cost: 31,45 euros. PS. if you're going to visit the alhambra nasrid palaces, GET YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE!! we didn't know that and were only able to see the outside grounds, gardens and the palace of charles the 5th... A cab is a good way to get the alhambra...

oh, i forgot to mention that the price of 31,45 euros is for the round-trip ticket, not the one-way...

Except the poppies are red, not orange! :)

Bus is the way to go. 2 hours 25 minutes from the Sevilla Estacion de Autobus to the one in Granada.

And the "Spanish architecture" is real, and not a "copy."
