Travel from Provence to Italy -- help
Does anyone have advice for the easiest way to travel from Provence to Italy? I'll be travelling on a budget, spending one week in Provence and one week in Italy. Ryanair has reasonably priced flights to Rome, but I'm more interested in seeing northern Italy -- Turin, Asti, etc. -- and I'm getting nowhere with SNCF or Trenitalia. Trenitalia will show me schedules from Marseille to Turin, but no fares. Same with SNCF.

Last month’s issue of the Thomas Cook European Rail Timetable shows the one-way, single, second class fare from Nice to Rome or Venice as 50 euros, so Nice to Turin or Marseilles to Milan will be 20 euros.
