Travel from Paris to Marseille
We are staying in Paris but flying home fro Marseille at 6 AM on a Saturday morning. What's the best way to assure we are at the Marseille airport by 4 AM without having to sit in the airport all night long?
Train? Flight? Do these modes of transporation run all night long? Thanks |
There are flights you can catch and a train from Paris will take approximately 4 to 5 hours to reach Vitrolles (the nearest station to the airport) but nothing will run all night meaning you will need to be in Marseille the day before your 06h00 departure.
There are hotels at the airport where you can stay the night before your departure such as the: Ibis, Pullman, Best Western, and Holiday Inn: http://www.marseille-airport.com/sho...ervices/hotels |
True, I would plan to stay near the airport the night before, unless you enjoy suffering.
Anywhere farther from the airport will entail taking a taxi, I think, but you can always peruse the Marseille airport website to see if I am mistaken. |
Notice that the Pullman is the only hotel listed on the Marseille Airport site that has a shuttle service before 5 a.m.

Stay at an airport hotel the night before. Why will you be in Paris if you have a flight out of Marseilles? Or, rather, why are you flying out of Marseilles if you're not going to be in the neighborhood?

We are also flying out of Marseille at 6:15 AM and booked the Etap Hotel as commenters said it was very easy to walk from there to the airport--only about 300M.
