Travel From Florence To Paris

Does anyone know if there are any inexpensive flights from Florence to Paris? The train ride is very long so we looking at the possibility of flying.

Go www.easyjet.com as they have a late flight out of Pisa to Paris Orly. Pisa airport is a 1 hour train or bus ride from Florence. Have a nice trip!!! Mike

Flying easyJet from Pisa is a good option. However, if you decide to take the train, I recommend you do it overnight (saves a night in a hotel and gives you more daylight hours for sightseeing). Leave Florence at 19:35 and arrive in Milan at 22:55. The night train leaves Milan at 23:35 and arrives in Paris at 09:38. Smart Price (discount) tickets bought online at www.trenitalia.com can be as little as E35 for a bunk in a 2nd class six-person couchette and E70 for a bunk in a 1st class four-person couchette (much more comfortable). Book ASAP (up to 90 days in advance) before the discount seats are gone.

I agree with Tim on the train option to Paris, BUT a lot of people commenting on this forun say they are exhausted from the train trip. They then aren't ready to begin running around soon after their arrival. Mike

One more thing: You can also book the Milan-Paris night train at the French national rail site, www.sncf.com. The site sometimes works better than. trenitalia.com. On the SNCF site the discount tickets are called PREM'S and you print them yourself.

Go to www.skyscanner.net and input Italy for the departure country, leave the airport open, and select France and Paris (any) for destination. There are quite a few solutions in addition to EasyJet or Condor out of Pisa, like Windjet out of nearby Bologna-Forli, and some Milan connections that might still save you time and maybe even money.

Also note that Florence airport is currently closed due to runway renovations, re-opening supposedly this Spring.
