Travel from Dordogne to Burgundy
Hi all,
What is the best way to get to Burgundy from Dordogne? All I am finding is that either I will have to rent a car and drive, or via a train which will take us all the way back to Paris resulting in a 7 hour trip. Hopefully I am missing an easier route. Any help is appreciated

And how are you traveling in the Dordogne? Public transportation is that part of the country is not very efficient. If you want to see sites, you'll need a car. Keep it until you get to Burgundy. As to the best route, plug in your options in www.viamichelin.com

There's a very early morning train from Brive that doesn't go through Paris. Total trip time is just 6 hr 35 min., which includes a one-hour stop in Vierzon, just enough time for a coffee and croissant in the train station.
