Travel from Amsterdam to Prague
Hi,
I am looking to travel from Amsterdam to Prague on May 12th. I am looking for the cheapest and most painless way to go. I found flights for around $140 A bus for $95....seems like it might be crazy to take a bus for 12 hours The train has been the biggest problem so far, I've been looking at the Bahn website, which is a bit confusing. I've either seen crazy expensive tickets, or options with transfers, where you can't see the prices or how to buy them. Any advice on how to book this trip would be greatly appreciated! Thank you |
You can try here: http://www.nshispeed.nl/
I took a quick look and there was a 7pm departure getting in 9am the next morning for 89 Euro. |
89 euros vs. $140 -- I'd fly (in fact, I DID fly). The upside of the train is 1) you save on a night's hotel, and 2) you go from center-city to center-city.

I once traveled from Amsertdam to Praha via Berlin. Great trip on the speed train. Couldn't wait to get out of Amsterdam ASAP! Praha was Fantastic.
